Recent updates to Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers now require permission for websites to connect to local devices on your network. This change may affect Forte Checkout (FCO) when a local card reader (such as eDynamo or DynaFlex) is used.
To ensure payments continue to process smoothly, CSG Forte displays a browser prompt when device access is required. Allowing this prompt enables secure communication between CSG Forte and your card reader and restores normal device-based payment functionality. CSG Forte communicates only with your payment device and does not access other devices on your local network.
End User Instructions to Allow Access
Chrome
If you are prompted that the CSG Forte product “wants access to other apps and services on your device,” click Allow. CSG Forte communicates only with your payment device and does not access other devices on your local network.

Edge
If you see the prompt for the first time, click Allow.

Firefox
If you see the prompt for the first time, click Allow.
To avoid being prompted again in the future, select “Remember my choice for this site” when prompted. This allows the CSG Forte domain to consistently connect to your local device.
