Terminal Update for Connection Issues

Terminal Update instructions for terminals that can’t connect to VHQ:

1. Download dl.adk-4.7.23.4-1606-vos2-engage-prod.tgz (Download button in upper right corner on page link)
2. Download VHQ file: Forte-vhq.verifone.com-3.2.6_Config_Engage_noema.tgz  (See attachment below)
3. Put both files on a USB drive - NOTE: The USB drive must fit into the bottom of the terminal.
4. Load ADK onto the terminal
   1. With the terminal on, insert the USB drive into the bottom of the terminal
   2. Press 1-5-9 at the same time
   3. Scroll down by swiping up on the screen and tap "Control Panel"
   4. Scroll down by swiping up on the screen and tap "Sysmode"
   5. Tap "supervisor"
   6. Enter your password: If you don't have it, contact our Technical Support Team at 866-290-5400 option 5
   7. Tap "Update"
   8. Tap "USB Memory"
   9. Tap "dl.adk-4.7.23.4-1606-vos2-en..."
   10. At the "Please confirm..." prompt, tap "OK"
   11. At the "Start Install ?" prompt, tap "OK"
   12. A progress bar will be displayed, and the terminal will reboot multiple times.
   13. The process takes about 5 minutes before completing and returns to the main terminal screen.
5. Load VHQ onto the terminal
   1. Press 1-5-9 at the same time
   2. Scroll down by swiping up on the screen and tap "Control Panel"
   3. Scroll down by swiping up on the screen and tap "Sysmode"
   4. Tap "supervisor"
   5. Enter your password
   6. Tap "Update"
   7. Tap "USB Memory"
   8. Tap "Forte-vhq.verifone.com-3.2.6_..."
   9. At the "Please confirm..." prompt, tap "OK"
   10. At the "Start Install ?" prompt, tap "OK"
   11. The file will install and the terminal will reboot
   12. Remove the USB Drive from the bottom of the terminal
6. The terminal should automatically contact VHQ for updates.
7. Please contact our Technical Support team at 866-290-5400 Option 5 to let them know your terminal should be ready for updates.
