Using the Contactless Reader

V400c Plus support CTLS functions when signaled by an application to perform a contactless smart card transaction follow these steps:

Gently tap or hold the card (within 4 cm) on the landing zone.
A short beeping sound indicates a successful transaction.

Using the Smart Card Reader

V400c Plus supports credit and debit card transactions via the smart card reader. To conduct a smart card transaction, follow these steps:

Position a smart card with the chip facing upward.
Insert the smart card into the smart card reader slot in a smooth, continuous motion until it seats firmly.
Remove the card only when the application indicates the transaction is complete.

Note: Place the contactless device 10 cm away from metallic objects to avoid interference with the CTLS field.

Caution: Leave the smart card in the card reader until the transaction is complete. Premature card removal will invalidate the transaction.

Using the Magnetic Card Reader

V400c terminals support credit or debit card transactions via the magnetic card reader. To conduct a credit or debit card transaction follow these steps:

Position the card with the magnetic stripe oriented downward, facing the keypad.
To ensure a proper read of the magnetic stripe, swipe the card smoothly through the reader in one direction (either towards the top of the screen or the bottom of the keyboard), as shown in the image.
Check the screen for confirmation of a successful transaction.
