Process to enable Digital Wallets

Overview: Digital Wallets : Support Services

Enabling Digital Wallets with CSG Forte

Before submitting a request for digital wallet enablement, please carefully review the steps below to ensure a smooth and successful setup.

1. Review Developer Documentation

Before contacting our team, make sure to:

  • Check general requirements for each available digital wallet in our developer documentation.

  • Review transaction and device specifications that apply to each digital wallet.

  • Understand the implementation process, which differs depending on:

    • The digital wallet being used (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.)

    • Your integration method (Forte Checkout or REST API).

2. Apple Pay Domain Verification for Forte Checkout Integrations

To identify your webpage(s) as a verified merchant processing Apple Pay through CSG Forte, you must complete the following steps:

a. Download the Required Domain Association File

  • Production merchants: Download the domain association file.

  • Pilot merchants: The file will be provided to you directly by your CSG Forte contact.

b. Upload the File

  • Upload the downloaded file exactly as named:

    apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association

  • Place the file in the following directory on your website:

    /.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association

Important:
If you accept payments on multiple domains, this process must be completed for each domain individually.

c. Request Enablement

Once the file has been correctly placed:

  • Contact your main Forte representative, or

  • Submit a ticket using this form and include the subject: Enable Apple Pay Request.

  • In your request, make sure to provide:

    • The intended domain(s) where Apple Pay will be used.

d. Activation Confirmation

  • After verifying the domain association file and completing internal checks, Apple Pay will be enabled for your Merchant ID (Location).

  • You will receive an email notification once activation is complete.

3. Additional Notes

  • If you were previously enrolled with a different payment service provider for Apple Pay and had your domain registered with them, please unregister your domain before starting this process with CSG Forte.

  • This process does not apply to REST API implementations, as REST API merchants will need to generate and apply the cryptographic parameters on their end.
